After 3 online sessions, Hercules 2023 could luckily take place on-site, both in Grenoble and at our partner facilities: ALBA, DESY / European XFEL, Elettra / FERMI, and PSI.

The Hercules 2022 school took place fully online in Grenoble, as the previous year, due to the COVID-19 pandemia. While week 4 was also organised remotely at our partner facilities KIT and PSI, it could luckily be organised on site at SOLEIL and DESY/European XFEL. The Hercules 2021 school took place fully online, due to the COVID-19 pandemia. You can find below the booklet of the school (click on the image to download it) as well as the group photographs that were taken on Zoom during the last day of the school. Most of our partner facilities also contributed to this online school and fully organised week 4: the students were split in four groups, each of them following one of the programmes given by: ALBA + European XFEL, Elettra/FERMI, SLS/SINQ, and KIT + European XFEL.
The Hercules 2020 school started on site, but had to be re-organised after 2 weeks, due to the start of the pandemia. You can find below the booklet of the school (click on the image to download it) as well as the group photograph that was taken during the second week next to Maison des Magistères, where the lectures took place.
The Hercules 2019 school took place on site. Due to the ESRF shutdown, the students were split in 3 groups, each of them travelling to 2 different partner large scale facilities for 2 weeks in total, among the 5 weeks of the school:
- Group 1: ALBA then SOLEIL and Laboratoire Léon Brillouin (LLB),
- Group 2: Elettra / FERMI then DESY and European XFEL,
- Group 3: PSI then KIT light source.
